Thank you for your post and I’m very sorry you had to experience this loss. Just a week ago I experienced sudden sensorineural hearing loss in my left ear and I am now completely deaf in that ear. My right ear is functioning very well. I am considering Cochlear implant to address my left ear and based on your video and other research the sound from the implant will be quite different than my good ear. My main question is, when you are using both ears to listen, when sounds came from the implanted side, do they sound altered or does the functioning ear compensate and provide input to the brain to filter out the “robotic” sound from the implant?
from Cxl to cochlear tp thyroid removal all in 5 years, wow
just had mine done day 2 1st day i was in extreme pain and was still getting around how to do medicaton. i was crying day 2 today all medication works very well and i feel a little discomfort when opening my eye so i keep it closed day 3-4 is when the pain should go so im excited for it
Ah man this is going to suck
Howdy, I just experienced total hearing loss last week in my left ear. I’m 64 and what a change to my life! I’m still on cortisone treatment to see if my natural hearing comes back but I’m not hopeful. I have spent considerable time looking at next options so I wanted to let you know I greatly appreciate the updates you have provided with your cochlear device. Please keep posting your progress reports, thank you again!
To inform about the post procedure the night of 1. Hot/cold flashes 2. No sleep the night of 3. Eye pain 4. Light sensitivity 5. Eye watering 6. Had time finding comfortable sleeping position 7. Too uncomfortable to keep your eye open
Omg I go on 24th
Question do you recommend doing both eyes at the same time?
I’ve been going through this for 1 going on 2 years right eye is perfect left eye is horrible!
Looks like 18 inch built in
What did u sayyyyyyy
Just received my scleral contacts a few days ago after getting diagnosed with keratoconus. I put them on the first day and they were a little uncomfortable so I’ve been trying to avoid wearing them, they look perfectly fine and there’s no cuts or anything on them so I’m gonna try really cleaning them and come back to update.
Are your eye number increasing after wearing scleral lenses
Thank you so much, please keep updating, your information is really valuable ✨✨.
I just got my second eye done. Sleep is key. Took 3 naps the next day. It totally killed the pain. The hospital billed my insurance for 2 eyes, 171K. My out of pocket added up to 1.3K total. broken down 1150 for my premium, 53$ visit free than a 75$ for initial testing.
lol imagine having 2 pay
It won’t be done lol. Nobody has that. Not even some doctors it’s too much
Is swelling on eye is normal after procedure
I have my surgery this coming Thursday. Thank you for the video.
I get my cross link for my second eye (right eye).
What size lens do you use?
Sir please tell me 24 hr routine of wearing scleral lens it will help m
Do you need to wear scleras for life after cross linking procedure?
Hi! Very curious how your progress has been with the cochlear so far now that you've had it for almost a year. Thanks!
Hello Sir, thanks for your videos, I myself have been diagnosed with SSD in my left ear because of a viral infection. As of today its been a year to your surgery and I want to ask can how is the audio quality from the CI ear or how different is it from your Normal ear and do you still feel any dizziness say after workingout. A reply would be greatly appreciated. May Christ bless you and your close ones with great health & Happiness.
bout to have mine in a few weeks 🙏
Wait i need to know how it went. Do u still get vertigo now? Hows the sound?? Were u completely deaf now u can hear sound like normal??
I went through the surgery too. You do not get sounds all at once, it will overwhelm the brain. You start with some sounds, like four different tones, get used to it, then you get some more and more till you get everything.
Had it yesterday just sleep 😂
I think my surgeon is on some bullshit he told it'll take three months to recover
Hi, your videos have helped me get through my keraticonus cross linking. Could u answer a few questions please, when does vision come back? Its been nearly 2 weeks yet its still very blurry, also u got a special contact lense private, is this given on the nhs or is it a different lense? Thankyou!
Mines been 11 days now, still abit sore but obviously nothing like the first 4 days. Vision is terrible, can barely see text in that eye. U say about your brain having to get use to it but what if u have a brain that barely works lol?
How bad was your keratoconus when u did the op? What was the stage or level?
Have my CXL next week for my left eye , done right last year and was painful as you described the first night , then it was more manageable. want to try cold eyes pad but worried to press against the eye at all after the procedure, any advise 9
Thanks for the video ...did you mention you had the transplant done also or just cr9ss linking?
Thank you so much for these posts. They have been very helpful in my recovery. I wanted to sit down and weed my flower bed but I am going to wait so that I don’t get the dizziness returning. Hearing that by August you were better helped me with my patience. All the best to you.
Did u get both eyes done? I dont think i can get the other eye done, thats the worst pain iv ever had at 35yrs old and iv broken many bones!
Its been 24hrs now and ice pack dont help, i cannot cope with the pain!!
I hope you are through the worst of it! It is rough. I’m waiting to see when I will need the other eye done…
@@bionic_band_director only today iv started feeling abit better, been 2 days, the pain was so bad i went to eye casualty and was groaning in pain for 5 hours and all they gave me was eye drops, should have been morphine! Worst pain iv ever felt, eye felt like it was going to pop out due to straining with the worst even constant migraine, if they dont promise some strong pain killer for my other eye i wont be doing it, they gave me 8mg co-codimal!
@@bionic_band_director i did reply but not showing up, good job for uploading these videos, helped me get through it knowing others felt as bad!
@@bionic_band_director well now the pains over i have a dilemma, i went to opticians but none of there contact lenses helped my vision??? Wtf doni suppose todo now
Are you OK? You haven’t posted in a while. I had cochlear surgery two days ago and your videos really helped keep me calm the last month.
Im thinking of the implant. Thank you for information
Yea I’ve stayed up most of the night, packing back in fourth, eye watering, nose running, but the more I slept, the less the pain was for me
I just had mine yesterday on the 4th
i just sleept 2 days stright :D
i had both my eyes same day worst thing ever
Did it help you see better??
@@LeugimBusram no just stopped eyes from drgrading
Youre doing a great work brother by sharing your valuable experience for other people with the same disease. Ik how it feels to live with kerotokanus as i also have it and had gone through the c3r procedure. In my case my vision got more blurry after the procedure.
Bro u had hearing loss in right ear onlyyyy
Hi! I’m glad I see this video of yours.I am a mother of 16 months old baby with Severe to Profound hearing loss on his left ear.I hope you won’t mind if I ask you some questions.I just wanted to know how it was like to have just one ear hearing properly.
I’m about to have my surgery done on the 4th. I have single sided deafness in my right ear.
I made a mini scleral bag/kit that I take with my when I am out/travelling with both plungers, 60ml of purilens saline (preservative free) and Boston multipurpose solution. I also take take a pocket mirrior
Where do you find 60ml bottles of purilens?
It ain’t cheap man 😢
Did you have tinnitus? If yes, did it go away after implant? Musician here having surgery in a month. So many questions 😢
I'm having surgery next week. I'm pretty nervous but my surgeon told me that I'll be fine and I have nothing to worry about. I'm pretty excited that hopefully I'll be able to hear well again.
Are you alive ? post Something we are waiting !
